Hi all. I bought a PT01 Scratch yesterday. Played with it all last night, sounding great.
This morning I did the rotate tonearm trick to the unit, also rotated the scratch switch to accommodate my left hand, and also did the hair band mod to hold the tonearm in place better.
Firstly, I removed the hair band mod pretty quickly, as I felt it was pressing so hard it was affecting the turntables torque, so when I let go of a scratch, at times it would slur up to speed.
Back to scratching. After a few minutes of cutting an Ahhhh sample, I suddenly heard it tonally drop low, as if the Tone Dial had been turned from High to Low. A fews seconds later the sound returned to normal, then back to low again. This now just happens randomly when scratching, sometimes not returning to normal after its gone tonally low.
Any ideas whats going on here?
